THE CLOUDY PANTHER

The cloudy panther or leopard longibando (cloudy Neofelis) is one of two species of félidos belonging to the kind Neofelis. A length has from 60 to 110 cm and a weight from 11 to 20 kg the females, the males up to 65 kg. This species is a excellent climbing one that moves agilely for the branches thanks to his long tail that acts like balance beam. The hair is covered of big irregular spots of black edge and dun interior, which it helps to the cloudy panther itself confuse between the leaves. His name comes precisely from these spots, from form similar to a cloud. In China he is known as leopard of the mint, since the spots also resemble the leaves of this plant.
This one animal account with the rarety of being the feline with canine more lengths in relation to the rest of the body of all those exist nowadays.
It can jump from a branch to other one with incredible precision, move along these even topsy-turvy and descend along the trunks with the head ahead.
The fact that the cloudy panther is a night animal it has impeded enormously his study in the nature.
